1) You need to create a database first. 2) Log into CPanel and click on the "MySQL Databases" icon in the database section (first icon) 3) In the top section labelled "Create New Database", add the name of the new database you want to create, then click on the "Create Database" button. 4) If this was successful you will be directed to a page that says "Added the database ...." 5) Click on the link on the bottom of that page labelled "Go Back" 6) Once the databaes has been created you need to add a user. 7) Scroll down the page to the "MySQL Users" section. 8) Under the label "Add New User", enter a username and a password 9) Click on the "Create User" button 10) If this was successful, you will be on a page that says "Added user .... with password ...." 11) Click on the link on the bottom of that page labelled "Go Back" 12) Now, you need to assign that user to the database 13) Scroll down to the label "Add User To Database" 14) Select the user from the drop down 15) Select the database from the drop down 16) Click on the "Add" button 17) In the next screen, select the privileges (select "ALL PRIVILEGES" --> You can always changes this later on) 18) Click on the button labelled "Make Changes" 19) Click on the link on the bottom of that page labelled "Go Back" 20) Your database is now complete.
NOTE: The system automatically adds your Cpanel username to the database name and user name.
