CSS is pretty much the standard these days. I imagine that soon when people refer to html it will be implied that css is a part of it. I do agree that if you are making a site that you have to test it in all browsers before publishing it, because web browsers were not created equally.

I”m using Joomla for my website, it’s also an open source. There are lots of extension modules available, some free of charge, some commercial. But also the authors of the free of charge modules propose to donate an amount to be decided by you. I’d recommend you to do so, otherwise they might become discouraged and stop supporting their SW in the end.

Ok, I’ve only written this program (and blog post today), but I’m already coming up with other ideas which I will implement in due course…

1) It would be nice to have a text include into the anchor tag. This is so that you could setup links with css for example. So, you tell the program to include the text: id=”LinkClass” and it puts that into all the links. That way, your links fit in with your page.

2) It would be great if there was a command to add text before and after the links. So, you may do something like this:

Add text after = “
”

So your anchor tags would be on a separate line..

or,

Add text before = “

”

So your anchors could be part of a list…

3) It would be nice if the program can run in a different mode. One that extracts links out of documentation, not just a file with 1 link per line.

As I mentioned, I’ll be adding those in the next few days, unless of course you do first! Please remember to post back here so we can all benefit….
