If you've ever wondered what happened to the infamous Dr Evil, wonder no more! Apparently, he has put his evil skills to good use to further develop Google's mantra , "Don't be evil". He now works as head of Google's webspam team under the name "Matt Cutts". Take a look at the line up pics below and decide for yourself. Seems he didn't manage to escape into outerspace after all. His evil empire is now in cyberspace. Seems our "good" Dr Evil has learned alot since waking up from his cryogenically frozen sleep. |

Who is Matt Cutts?
Ok, now that we know that Dr Evil works at Google vicariously through Matt Cutts, lets answer the quesion, "Who is Matt Cutts". The answer is simply that he works at Google as head of their spam team. I really can't say much more because I've never met Matt or seen him in person, though I have read many of his blogs and seen many of his youtube videos. Matt seems to have a big heart, a great sense of humour and really puts a ton of effort into helping webmasters like you and me.
If you want to gain valuable insights into the way google operates in terms of search, but also in a general sense about web best practices, then you have to know, use and love the following two resources (any self-respecting webmaster MUST know these links):
Matt Cutts often puts out interesting blogs and has an active community of members who will comment and ask questions, and he does a stellar job of answering his forums, its really nice to see. In his youtube videos, they mostly take on the form of Q&A's with each short video being a question and answer from someone (I'm still trying to figure out how to send in questions????).
As my personal disclaimer, as mentioned, I don't know Matt Cutts and I have not asked his permission to compare him to Dr Evil, but I couldn't resist. Also, Matt, if you ever come across this page, please don't sue me, the only reason I discovered this gem of a pic is because I follow your SEO advice all the time. You should really be flattered, not insulted.
So Matt, when can I expect my first place ranking for all my keywords on Google???
